Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition:
For more than twenty years, Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition has worked to ensure equal justice for all immigrant adults and children at risk of detention and deportation in the Capital region and beyond through direct legal representation, know your rights presentations, impact litigation, advocacy, and the enlistment and training of attorneys to defend immigrants. As the only nonprofit in the DC area dedicated exclusively to providing free legal services to detained immigrant adults and children, CAIR Coalition trains dozens of attorneys to provide pro bono assistance to detained immigrants; partners with local and national partners to advocate for improve treatment of detained immigrants; and engages more than five hundred volunteers who directly contribute to CAIR Coalition cases each year.
CAIR Coalition’s Volunteer Program website needs an update! We are looking for someone to help us involve more volunteers in the fight for immigration justice by redesigning the Volunteer page of our website. This would include adding multimedia content, organizing volunteer resources, and re-thinking navigation to the Volunteer page in order to better attract and inform volunteers. We are looking for a developer with experience with or knowledge of EveryAction (developer documentation here).
